Call For Papers: Culture, Community and Architecture Workshop: ‘The Architecture of Community’

Call For Papers announced for a one-day workshop at the University of Southampton on 6 September 2012:

Culture, Community and Architecture Workshop: ‘The Architecture of Community’

‘This full-day multidisciplinary workshop explores those complex relationships between culture, community and architecture that help define and organise our public space and how we use and experience that space’.

First Conference Paper Available!

Pre-circulated papers will be posted on the ‘Conference Papers’ page as they become available. All papers should be received by 25 May, ready to be uploaded.

We have received and uploaded our first paper, so the page has been password-protected.

Workshop Registration Now Open!

Registration to attend ‘Space and Social Relations in Historical Perspective’ has been extended to 14 May 2012. Registration is £15, including lunch and refreshments. The emphases of the workshop are on discussion and the exchange of ideas in an interdisciplinary environment. All papers will be pre-circulated to attendees via this website before the workshop, with each panel member giving a five-minute introduction to their paper on the day.

To secure your place, please complete the Workshop Participants Registration Form and return along with a cheque for the registration fee of £15 (made payable to ‘Harriet Cornell’) to:
